The MAT800/810 has certain frequency characteristics. The attenuation level changes with frequency, creating a gentle curve overall. Therefore, for the corresponding 16 frequency ranges, the MAT800 has 1600 steps of attenuation calibrated using an SG and power meter, while the MAT810 has 1200 steps of attenuation calibrated in the same manner. The MAT800 allows for attenuation settings from 0dB to 80dB in 0.05dB increments with 1600 steps, while the MAT810 allows for attenuation settings from 0dB to 60dB in 0.05dB increments with 1200 steps.

The development of wireless communication devices such as smartphones (mobile devices) and functional evaluation tests at the time of shipment make electric attenuators very effective for evaluating communication characteristics based on transmission and reception levels affected by distance attenuation. Our high-speed programmable attenuator MAT series does not produce spike noise during attenuation level switching and can virtualize the actual movement of mobile terminals without interruption.
